This is an extremely good example of why you want to get with real instructors. First the pilot is on a fake altered copy of an outdated glider, yes sometimes even those can recover but how does the buyer know yea or nay if it doesn’t have certifications to prove it has been through and passes ever test? Plus training with experts helps alert you to dangers of flying into a rotor. Why in the world would anyone buy a fake copy of an outdated glider when you can get a new certified one for less? This is exactly the point of the WPPGA, it helps new people coming into the sport find reputable dealers offering certified equipment with training from real instructors.
