The Circle Foot Drag
WPPGA YouTube Paramotor World Championships!
The foot drag is one of the funnest, safest and most difficult maneuvers in paramotoring. It requires the pilot to maintain an almost perfectly level altitude while dragging their foot on the surface. One small climb in altitude and your foot comes off, sink a bit and you hit. The extreme precision it takes to excel at this task will clearly set apart the worlds best pilot from the rest of the world. There is no question that this task will be won by the best pilot in the world.
Now what sets the WPPGA YouTUBE Paramotor World Championships apart from all other competitions is that there is no luck. Competitors can take all the tries they like, anywhere, anytime and post only their very best. Instead of having competitors fly to some remote part of the world where only those that can afford it can compete, we setup this YouTUBE competition to make it fair and equal for everyone, everywhere in the world to compete fairly and evenly. Just post the results and if you are the very best then you win. A new champion will be updated immediately upon receipt of a new video demonstrating a better accomplishment.
To make this exceptionally more difficult, the foot drag must be done in a circle. This weeds out the vast majority of pilots as only a handful of the worlds best can actually complete this task let alone compete for numbers of rotations.
To win the circle foot drag challenge and receive official WPPGA recognition, you must:
- Keep your shoe, sandal, or foot in constant contact with the surface for as long as possible.
- Do your foot drag in a reasonably tight circle without a straight line any longer than it takes to maintain position without drifting.
- Have video evidence of the entire foot drag. Please don’t edit the video with multiple camera angles. The only time that we will accept is the time you have video evidence of your foot clearly.
- Only full circles will be counted so you must beat the previous competitor by at least one full rotation.
- Send us your video and grant us access to publish it on this website.
